About James Bailey


James Bailey is a nationally recognized speaker, writer and consultant on students with disabilities and technology. His workshops and presentations have been offered at AHEAD (The Association on Higher Education and Disability) and CSUN's "Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference."
He is the Adaptive Technology Adviser for the University of Oregon (Eugene, OR).

His responsibilities at UO include:

  • AT for students with physical disabilities
  • technological supports and strategies for students with learning disabilities
  • consults with campus web designers on accessibility
  • advising the university on issues of policy and compliance

He has a Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Oregon. He received the AT training series from the California Community Colleges High Tech Center Training Unit in Cupertino, CA.
